What To Expect
A typical service will last about 60 minutes. We sing a good mix of contemporary and traditional music that is led by our worship team. You might be wondering, what's it really like at First Baptist Church, Lakeland? Simply stated, at FBC, we're all about Jesus. You won't be met with shame, guilt, or condemnation. And we don't care how you're dressed or what candidate you voted for. Our church is made up of imperfect people with every kind of story imaginable.
Want to know the best part? No matter what you've been through or what questions you might have about God and faith, our church is a place where you'll find the love, grace, and forgiveness Jesus gives to everyone.
Your family will be welcomed into Small Group (Sunday School) at 10 a.m. The groups are divided by age. We follow all the safety standards for the protection of your children. All workers have passed a state criminal backdrop check.
At 11 a.m. we will all gather for Morning Worship in the Sanctuary. Our musical service is blended with contemporary songs and ones from the Baptist Hymnal. We hope when you will join us you will feel comfortable. Dress you will find is casual, to business casual to coat and tie. Our focus is on the heart and the Word of God.
